E718 Plum DMC Light Effects Embroidery Thread

Description

Light Effects stranded embroidery thread for cross stitch and embroidery.

This skein of thread is eight metres long and comes in six strands. The strands are easy to separate. It is 100% polyester.

Use this thread to add a metallic shine to your cross stitch or embroidery project. You can use it alone or combined with stranded cotton to provide shimmer to your work.

For best results use a short length while sewing. Keep the thread from twisting too much by letting the thread with your needle on it hang every so often, so that it unwinds itself.

DMC do not give specific washing instructions for this thread. If you cannot avoid washing a piece of work sewn with this thread, use a mild soap and hand wash only at a low temperature.  Take into account the care guidelines for the fabric you have used. Roll your washed embroidery gently in a towel to remove excess water, ensuring the embroidery does not touch upon itself, before drying flat. Then place your work face down on a clean cloth, preferably while still damp, and iron on the reverse side, with a warm iron, with another cloth on top of your work.
